SCRATCHERS & SALTERS

We have three related products. The Combo Scratcher-Salter, and both an individual Scratcher and Salter.

Good animal welfare is important-to cattle producers, the cattle industry as a whole, and to the general public. Scratching is a daily activity among cattle herds, and providing a proper scratching tool (when natural scratchers such as trees are not available) promotes good animal welfare. Providing cattle with specific equipment for which to scratch on also significantly reduces the destruction that they can do to fencing and other equipment.

Cattle also require salt and mineral, and protecting these supplements from loss due to outdoor environmental conditions is important to any producer's bank account.

COMBO SCRATCHER-SALTER

Heavy duty steel pipe construction with a roof and scrubber-scratchers mounted on it. It has a frame design to allow for cattle to scratch all areas of their bodies (their sides, the top of their back, and their brisket). It is durable, and can be drug or loaded with a tractor without risk of structural failure.

KEY BENEFITS

With the Scratcher-Salter Combo, there are two plastic salt tubs hung on the scratcher. This keeps the salt up off the ground and protected from the weather.

RELATED INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS

SALT AND MINERAL SAVER SKID

This skid is constructed with heavy steel and has a roof, as well as rubber matting covering three mineral lick tubs. The rubber matting is durable and protects the supplements from snow and rain.
Cattle are easily trained to this system. The matting is tied up for the first couple days, then gradually let down over the period of a week or so. When it is completely lowered, the mineral and salt are fully protected from the elements, and the cattle know to lift the matting to get to the supplements.

SINGLE SCRATCHING POST

This is a single standing post with scratchers on all sides. It is a lightweight, durable product, and requires minimal space for use.
